Counselling to help you transform

A new style of therapy….

My dear, wonderful human, have you ever felt the need to reconnect with yourself—to explore the parts of you that hold your struggles, your dreams, and your untapped potential? Life can feel overwhelming, but healing doesn’t have to be heavy. This style of Counselling offers a gentle, creative, and empowering way to rediscover your inner wisdom, embrace your wholeness, and reconnect with the joy of being authentically you.

What type of Counselling?

‘Transpersonal’ Counselling is a holistic approach that blends traditional Client-Centred talk therapy with creativity, mindfulness, body-based practices, spiritual exploration, and meaning-making. It’s not about fixing you—it’s about helping you uncover the beauty and strength that already reside within. Every session is tailored to you, offering tools to regulate your nervous system, heal past wounds, navigate present challenges, and open new possibilities for growth and meaning. The word ‘Transpersonal’ simply means to ‘move beyond’ the persona.

What Happens in a Session?

You will be stepping into a space where every part of you is welcome—your joy, your pain, even your uncertainty. Together, we will tailor-make experiences using components that appeal to you from my tool-kit:

  • Client-centred talk therapy: Often you just need to get things off your chest. I get it. I will hold a nonjudgmental space for anything you bring, large or small. Talking might be all you want or need. However, here are some other great therapeutic options that may appeal to you:

    • Art Therapy: Express emotions through scribbling or paint —no artistic skills needed! Creativity becomes a mirror for your inner world.

    • Meditation: Quiet your mind with mindfulness or guided visualisations that bring clarity and calm.

    • Breathwork: Use intentional breathing to release tension and access new states of consciousness.

    • Parts work: Using techniques to tap into different parts of your body and mind.

    • Dreamwork: Explore the messages hidden in your dreams and weave them into your healing journey.

    • Movement: Reconnect with your body somatically through movement that feels right for you.

    • Restful yoga: Poses to help you ground, restore and connect with your body.

Each session is an adventure guided by your needs, sometimes playful and creative, other times reflective and restorative. Tailor-made to what works for you.

Inspired by Visionaries

A rich array of influences shapes my approach. Dr Gabor Maté’s compassion-centred work on trauma, Dr Bessel van der Kolk’s insights into how trauma lives in the body, Licia Sky’s use of embodied healing, and Dr Richard Schwartz’s Internal Family Systems model have all profoundly informed my practice. I also enjoy Dr Nicole LePera’s everyday Instagram approach to family dynamics and attachments. I deeply value the teachings of my lecturers at CCM, my yoga and meditation teachers, Carl Jung’s exploration of the unconscious, individuation and archetypes, Grof’s breathwork techniques, the wisdom of traditional and shamanic cultures, those who came before us and the healing of Mother Nature. It’s quite a mixed bag!

Why Choose Transpersonal Counselling?

This holistic approach is supported by research and is perfect if you’re navigating life transitions, processing grief or trauma, feeling stuck in patterns of anxiety or self-doubt, or seeking deeper meaning. It’s not just counselling—it’s an exploration of who you are beyond the roles you play or the struggles you face. Healing can be curious, freeing, and even fun. I believe everyone can benefit from counselling, not just for themselves but for those around them.
